Promoting Fitness In Elementary Schools In Lanark County, Ontario
Purpose Of L.D.E.S.A.A. - Who We Are....
We represent the students and staff of 27 elementary schools in Lanark County, Ontario. Our schools are from the Upper Canada District School Board, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario and any private schools who choose to join.
We provide sports opportunities in over twenty different activities. Individual schools may choose to enter these activities.
Our mandate is to promote fitness for life with our students and to promote fairness and fair play in athletics. We try, where possible to have a Large Schools and Small Schools division.
A small school is defined as being one of the ten smallest schools in population in a) Grade 5 & 6 for Junior Sports and b) Grade 7 & 8 for Senior Sports.
We encourage all our athletes and coaches to follow the Fair Play sports code of conduct treating your team mates and your opposition with respect and fairness.
